Privacy Policy

How BizPage collects, uses, protects, retains, and shares account, business, website, order, payment, verification, and AI data.

BizPage processes personal data to provide an AI-powered website, shop, and marketplace platform. This includes account registration, generated public websites and shops, product listings, orders and payments, seller verification, affiliate tracking, AI content generation, notifications, billing, and support.

BizPage is designed to support compliance with the Nigeria Data Protection Act 2023 and NDPC privacy principles, including fair, lawful, transparent processing, purpose limitation, data minimisation, accuracy, storage limitation, security, accountability, and respect for data subject rights.

We may collect account data such as name, email, password hash, role, consent timestamps, registration IP hash, user agent, and session data. We collect business profile data such as business name, category, city, country, WhatsApp, email, services, products, and generated website/shop copy.

We process website and shop content, product listings, uploaded media, orders, buyer contact details for order fulfillment, payment and payout records, escrow and ledger entries, seller verification (KYC) data, affiliate tracking data, notification preferences, subscription/billing records, AI prompts and outputs, device/log data, and support requests.

We use this data to create and publish business websites and shops, process orders and payments, verify sellers, prevent fraud, run the affiliate program, process billing, prevent abuse, improve reliability, provide support, comply with law, and maintain security.

Buyers who place an order through a BizPage shop provide their contact and delivery details to the seller and to BizPage as the platform processor/service provider, for the purpose of fulfilling that order. Sellers must use buyer data lawfully and only to fulfill and support orders.

You may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, withdrawal of consent where applicable, and reasonable export support. Rights may vary by jurisdiction. Some records may be retained where required for billing, fraud prevention, audit logs, security, legal claims, or regulatory obligations.

Data may be transferred internationally when we use cloud hosting, AI providers, email/WhatsApp providers, payment gateways, and storage providers. We use reasonable safeguards for those transfers.

We protect data using access controls, secure cookies, password hashing, validation, role-based authorization, rate limits, audit logs, structured operational logging, and infrastructure health checks. No online system can guarantee absolute security.

We retain account and business data while your account is active. Deleted or inactive data may be retained for a limited period for backup, security, billing, dispute, or legal reasons before deletion or anonymisation.

Data retention (defaults — confirm with counsel for your jurisdiction):

Financial records (orders, invoices, payments, payouts) are kept about 7 years for tax and legal duties, even after account deletion; buyer PII is anonymised where possible.

Account and profile data is kept while the account is active. After a deletion request, personal data is erased or anonymised within 30 days except records law requires us to keep.

Operational logs and analytics (IPs already hashed where collected) are kept about 18 months, then aggregated or purged.

AI generation logs are kept about 12 months. Messages and notifications are kept about 18 months.

Backups rotate on roughly a 60-day window. Marketing consent is kept until withdrawn.

Seller verification uses risk-based KYC tiers (phone/bank name match, optional government ID). Fraud controls include escrow holds, delivery proof, manual review, and payout freezes. You may request a reasonable export of your account data, and deletion subject to legal retention.
